The Chicago Cubs are back in the postseason. Following a 3-2 loss to the Pirates on Friday, the Cubs punched their ticket to the postseason for the first time since 2008 after the Giants fell 5-4 to the Athletics. Chicago is currently 89-and-64 and sit seven-and-a-half games out of first place in the National League Central.
The Cubs will more than likely take on the division rival Pittsburgh Pirates in a one-game Wild Card playoff on October 7th. The Cubs are powered by Cy Young Award candidate Jake Arrieta and possible Rookie of the Year Kris Bryant. Arrieta leads the Majors with 20 wins and sits in second with a 1.88 earned run average. Bryant is hitting .278 with 26 home runs and 98 RBI.
