It was a dominating performance for PGA Champion Justin Day as he won by 6 shots at the BMW Golf Championship held at Conway Farms in Lake Forest.
Day shot a final round of 2 under par 69 and finished the 72-hole event at 22 under par. This was Day's 2nd win in the FedExCup Playoffs. He has also won 4 out of his last 6 tournaments and 5th this year.
Day is also now the number golfer in the world. He moved past both Rory McIlroy and Jordan Speith following the win which was worth 1.4 million dollars.
Finishing in 2nd place was Daniel Berger while Scott Piercy finished in 3rd place, 7 shots off the lead.
McIlroy finished 8 shots out of 1st place, Speith was 11 shots back.
The top 30 golfers from the BMW Championship have qualified for the Tour Championship this week in Atlanta. The 1st round will be played on Thursday.
The winner of the FedExcup Playoffs will be determined this Sunday.
