Jon Lester fired a complete game as the Cubs clipped the Pirates 2-1 and earned a split of the doubleheader at PNC Park. Lester struck out nine while allowing one run as he evened his record at 10-and-10. Anthony Rizzo singled in a run in the first, while Dexter Fowler had an RBI-double in the fifth for the Cubs, who snapped a three-game skid. Aramis Ramirez scored the lone run for the Bucs on a double-play ball in the seventh. J.A. Happ fanned eight in five-and-two-thirds frames, but allowed both runs to fall to 5-and-2. In the opener, Starling Marte [[ MAR-tay ]] drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning as the Pirates beat the Cubs 5-4. Pittsburgh currently holds the top Wild Card spot in the NL, four games ahead of Chicago.
