Cody Asche drilled the walk-off homer for the Phillies in a 7-5 win over the Cubs at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies blew a four-run lead before Asche won it in the ninth. Cesar Hernandez had a three-run double for Philadelphia, with Ken Giles earning the win in relief. Ryan Howard added an RBI-double. Kyle Schwarber homered for the Cubs, and Chris Coghlan added a two-run double. Hector Rondon took the loss.

The White Sox scored seven runs in the fourth inning en route to an 8-2 win over the Twins in Chicago. Carlos Sanchez drove in a pair for the Pale Hose, who have won six of their last nine. Jose Quintana allowed only one earned run in six innings to improve to 9-and-10. Trevor Plouffe had two hits and an RBI for Minnesota, which had won its previous two. Tommy Milone didn't make it out of the fourth and fell to 8-and-5.
