Eugenio Suarez and Adam Duvall both drilled two-run homers as the Reds crushed the Cubs 13-6 in the opener of a three-game set at Wrigley Field. Jason Bourgeois, Brandon Phillips and Tucker Barnhart also drove in two runs apiece for Cincinnati, which won for just the third time in its last 17 games. Ryan Mattheus picked up the win and Aroldis Chapman recorded the final five outs for his 26th save. Addison Russell homered and knocked in three, while Dexter Fowler also went deep for the Cubs, who have dropped five of six since a six-game winning streak. Justin Grimm took the loss.
