The Chicago Bears are cutting ties with veteran cornerback Tim Jennings. The nine-year-veteran was released on Sunday after five seasons in Chicago. Jennings has started 74 of 78 games for the Bears over the past five seasons, making 16 interceptions during that span, but had none last year.
He led the league in picks in 2012 with nine. The 31-year-old Jennings spent four seasons in Indianapolis before joining Chicago.
The Bears finish up the preseason schedule Thursday night at Soldier Field with the Cleveland Browns. The Pre-Game Show begins at 6:30 on Newstalk 1060.
