Both the White Sox and Cubs lose on Friday night

Taijuan Walker and two relievers combined for a four-hit shutout to lead the Mariners past the White Sox, 2-0, at U.S. Cellular Field. Walker fanned six in six-and-a-third innings of work to earn his 10th win. Tom Wilhelmsen pitched a perfect ninth en route to his fifth save. Kyle Seager and Franklin Gutierrez each launched a solo home run for Seattle, which as won three of four. John Danks gave up both runs in six frames to slip to 6-and-12. Chicago has dropped four of its last six games.

Game #3 in the series is tonight with the Pre-Game Show at 5:35 on Newstalk 1060.

Clayton Kershaw turned in another gem as he led the Dodgers past the Cubs, 4-1, at Chavez Ravine.  Kershaw racked up 14 strikeouts in eight innings of one-run ball to improve to 11-and-6 on the year and 6-and-0 in his last nine starts.  Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect ninth to wrap up his 26th save.  Chase Utley had an RBI-triple and Enrique Hernandez knocked in a run for LA, which has won four in-a-row.  Jason Hammel allowed three runs in just over five innings to slip to 7-and-6.  Anthony Rizzo hit a solo home run in Chicago's third straight loss.
