Travis Shaw broke a scoreless tie in the eighth inning with a two-run homer as the Red Sox blanked the White Sox, 3-0, at U.S. Cellular Field. Josh Rutledge added a sac-fly in the ninth to ice the cake. Rick Porcello tossed seven innings of shutout ball to improve to 6-and-11. Junichi Tazawa picked up his third save. The White Sox managed six hits as a team, including three from Melky Cabrera. Chris Sale hurled seven shutout innings himself. Nate Jones took the loss after giving up Shaw's homer.
