Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose is trying to clear his name. TMZ reported on Wednesday that Rose is being sued by a woman that claims she was drugged and raped by Rose and two of his friends.
A statement from Rose's spokesperson to Liz Mullen of the "Sports Business Journal" says the "plaintiff's allegations are completely false and without any factual basis." The statement also called the lawsuit "outrageous" and "nothing more than a desperate attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete." The spokesperson added that the relationship between Rose and the plaintiff ended two years ago.
