Miguel Montero and Jorge Soler each belted a solo home run in the eighth inning to lift the Cubs over the Braves, 9-7, at Wrigley Field. Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell also left the yard and tallied a pair of RBI apiece. Kris Bryant doubled in a pair of runs to help Chicago earn its third straight win. Pedro Stop improved to 2-and-6 in relief and Hector Rondon notched his 23rd save. Nick Swisher clubbed a pair of home runs and totaled four RBI while A.J. Pierzynski went 3-for-4 and plated two runs. Edwin Jackson took the loss for Atlanta, which has dropped six in-a-row and 10 of 12 overall.
The Cubs look for the 4-game sweep today against the Braves at Wrigley Field.
