Chris Sale racked up 14 strikeouts to help guide the White Sox to an 11-4 thumping of the Mariners at Safeco Field. Sale gave up three runs over seven innings of work to improve to 12-and-7. Carlos Sanchez went 2-for-4 with four RBI and scored twice for Chicago. Tyler Flowers plated three runs and Tyler Saladino added a two-run single for the White Sox, who have won back-to-back games since dropping five of six. Felix Hernandez suffered his eighth defeat after giving up four runs and nine hits over six innings. Mark Trumbo and Nelson Cruz both went deep in Seattle's fifth loss in seven games.
