Jake Arrieta pitched six scoreless innings as the Cubs clobbered the Braves, 7-1, in the opener of a four-game set in Chicago. Arrieta scattered four hits and a walk while striking out seven to improve to 15-and-6. Anthony Rizzo hit a three-run homer and Addison Russell added a solo shot to help Chicago stop a three-game skid. Adonis Garcia's sac-fly in the eighth plated the only run for Atlanta, which has dropped four in-a-row. Mike Foltynewicz allowed all seven runs in less than five innings to fall to 4-and-5.
