A solo homer by Carlos Perez was the difference as the Angels stopped the White Sox, 1-0, at Angel Stadium. Jered Weaver won the pitcher's duel, tossing six-and-a-third frames of scoreless ball to earn the win. Perez went deep in the sixth to break the tie and give Anaheim the lead for good. The Halos will go for a four-game sweep Thursday. Jeff Samardzija took the tough-luck loss, giving up eight hits and the homer in seven frames to fall to 8-and-9. The White Sox have dropped five of their past six.
The White Sox suffered their 7th straight road loss last night.
Final game of the series is tonight with the Pre-Game Show at 8:30 on Newstalk 1060.
