The high school football season begins today in Illinois. It's the first official day teams in the state can practise as they prepare for the 2015 season. The first games will be played on Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th.
Newstalk 1060 and wrhl.net will be broadcasting 2 games that weekend. On Friday night, the Rochelle Hubs play at home against Chicago Corliss. Saturday afternoon, the Winnebago Indians host St. Joseph-Ogden. "The Coyote" and 1023thecoyote.com will also broadcast a game on Friday night. The AFC Raiders play at Forreston against the defending Class 1A Champion Cardinals. Practice for the other fall sports teams at schools in Illinois starts this Wednesday.
