Edinson Volquez allowed one run in seven innings to lead the Royals to a 3-2 victory over the White Sox from Kauffman Stadium. Volquez improved to 11-and-6 with Greg Holland earning his 24th save despite allowing a run in the ninth. Alex Rios, Lorenzo Cain and Eric Hosmer each drove in a run as Kansas City snapped its two-game skid. John Danks fell to 6-and-9, allowing three runs in six frames of work. Adam LaRoche went deep in the ninth and Jose Abreu plated a run in the loss. Chicago has dropped four of five.
