Teixeira hit a right-handed grand slam in the second and a lefty two-run shot in the fourth as New York snapped its short two-game skid. Carlos Beltran doubled twice and plated a run while Jacoby Ellsbury, Alex Rodriguez and Chase Headley drove in a run each. Nathan Eovaldi allowed three-runs in five-and-two-thirds innings for his 11th win. Carlos Rodon pitched into the fourth and allowed eight runs to fall to 4-and-4. Jose Abreu hit a two-run shot and Melky Cabrera added an RBI single in the setback. Designated hitter Adam LaRoche collected four hits and pitched an inning of scoreless relief in the ninth. Chicago has dropped two straight.
