Cubs win 3rd straight game in Milwaukee

Jason Hammel tossed five-and-two-thirds innings of one-run ball to help guide the Cubs past the Brewers, 4-1, at Miller Park. Hammel moved to 6-and-5 with the win and Hector Rondon closed it out for his 15th save. Starlin Castro plated a pair of runs and Anthony Rizzo clubbed a solo home run for Chicago, which has won three in-a-row and four of five. Taylor Jungmann racked up seven strikeouts in five-and-two-thirds for Milwaukee, but suffered the loss after giving up two earned runs. Ryan Braun went deep for the Brewers' lone run in their eighth defeat in 10 games.

Game #3 of the series is this evening at Miller Park.

The Cubs also acquired pitchers Dan Haren and Tommy Hunter on Friday. Haren was (7-7) with Miami while Hunter was (2-2) in the bullpen with Baltimore.
