A 6 under par 65 on Monday was good for a first place finish for Scott Langley at the Rockford Pro-Am golf event.
Langley, who played his college golf at the University of Illinois, was 1 shot better than Michael Thompson and Max Homa at the Rockford Country Club.
The left hander was 1 of several PGA golfers who were involved in the Pro-Am in Rockford. Many had just completed their final round Sunday at the John Deere Classic in Silvis.
Langley birdied his final 2 holes yesterday as he won the Pro-Am in only his 2nd appearance in Rockford. He will not be playing this week at the British Open Golf Championship.
