Cardinals lose but Brewers win in Major League Baseball

Andrew McCutchen launched a walk off two-run homer in the 14th inning to lift the Pirates over the Cardinals, 6-5, at PNC Park. A.J. Burnett also went deep while striking out six in six-and-a-third innings en route to the no-decision. Pedro Alvarez singled in a run in the eighth to force extras and Chris Stewart knocked in a run in the 10th to tie the game back up at four. Vance Worley got credited with the win in the Bucs' seventh victory in eight games. Mark Reynolds had a pair of solo shots and Jhonny Peralta drove in the go-ahead run in the 14th before McCutchen's home run ended it. Nick Greenwood suffered the loss in relief for St. Louis, which has dropped four of six.

Taylor Jungmann was lights out as the Brewers picked up a road win over the Dodgers 7-1.  Jungmann fired a complete game, allowing one run on three hits with seven punchouts to improve to 4-and-1.  Gerardo Parra went deep and drove in two runs in the victory while Carlos Gomez doubled twice and finished with five RBI.  Milwaukee has won two of three.  Brandon Beachy suffered the loss, allowing three runs in four frames to slip to 0-and-1.  Enrique Hernandez drove in the lone run with a pinch-hit sac-fly in the eighth.  The Dodgers three-game winning streak ended with the loss.
