Caleb Joseph knocked in three runs to help the Orioles cruise to a 9-1 thumping of the White Sox and avoid a three-game sweep at U.S. Cellular Field. Jonathan Schoop belted a solo homer and tallied two RBI, while Chris Davis plated a pair of runs as well. Steve Pearce went 3-for-4 with an RBI-single and scored twice for the O's, who had lost five of six coming in. Miguel Gonzalez improved to 7-and-5 with the win. Carlos Rodon got tagged for four runs and allowed four walks in five-plus frames to drop to 3-and-2 for Chicago. Melky Cabrera doubled in the lone run as the White Sox saw their four-game winning streak come to an end.
