Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler may want to take his talents to the West Coast. The "LA Daily News" reports Butler wants to leave Chicago because the team fired coach Tom Thibodeau and because of he doesn't get along with Derrick Rose.
The All-Star reportedly is leaning toward a one-year deal with the Lakers, though the Bulls can match any offer another team makes. Butler rejected a contract extension from the Bulls last year and finished the season with career highs in points, rebounds, and assists.
Bulls backup guard Kirk Hinrich is staying in the Windy City. He is picking up his 2.8-million-dollar player option for next season. The 34-year-old averaged a career-low 5.7 points and 2.2 assists per game in 2014-15.
Bobby Portis is officially a Chicago Bull. The team introduced the Arkansas big man yesterday during a press conference at the Advocate Center. The six-foot-eleven power forward was selected 22nd overall in last week's NBA Draft. He was named the SEC player of the year last season.
