White Sox blow 4-0 lead and lose in Detroit

James McCann smacked a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Tigers past the White Sox 5-4 at Comerica Park. Victor Martinez hit a three-run double to cap a four-run eighth inning for the Tigers, who took two of three in the rain-shortened series. Joakim Soria picked up the win. Avisail Garcia drilled a two-run homer and Melky Cabrera went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run for Chicago, which led 4-0 through six innings. Zach Putnam suffered the loss.

White Sox will be in St. Louis against the Cardinals on Tuesday.
