Cubs lose in 10 innings in St. Louis

Jhonny Peralta's little dribbler scored Peter Bourjos in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Cardinals a 3-2 walkoff win over the Cubs at Busch Stadium. It is the 17th walkoff win of the season for St. Louis, which has won four straight. Greg Garcia hit his first career home run in the eighth to tie the game at two and Randal Grichuk added an RBI-triple in the victory. Seth Maness earned the decision in relief to improve to 2-and-0. Justin Grimm took the loss in relief of Jake Arrieta, who fired seven innings of one-run ball. Mike Baxter was 3-for-5 with an RBI and Kris Bryant hit a sac-fly in the loss. The Cubs have dropped three straight.

Game #2 in the series is this evening in St. Louis.
