White Sox lose again in Minnesota

Phil Hughes hurled eight innings of one-run ball to outduel Chris Sale as the Twins topped the White Sox 6-1 at Target Field. Hughes fanned five while allowing six hits and no walks to even his record at 6-and-6. Brian Dozier, Kurt Suzuki and Shane Robinson each had two hits and an RBI to power the offense as Minnesota took two-of-three in the series. Sale struck out 10, but surrendered eight hits and six runs in six-and-two-thirds frames to fall to 6-and-4 with the loss. Adam LaRoche went 3-for-4 with his ninth home run of the season for Chicago, which had won three of its previous four.

The White Sox will be in Detroit today against the Tigers. Pre-Game Show begins at 11:30 on Newstalk 1060.
