Pittsburgh's scoreless streak reached 35 innings before Chicago scored twice in the sixth inning. Andrew McCutchen plated a run and scored for the Bucs, who have won seven straight including the first three of this four-game home-and-home series. Jeff Locke struck out eight over six innings of two-run ball as he improved his mark to 4-and-3. Mark Melancon pitched a flawless ninth for his 22nd save. Melky Cabrera and Avisail Garcia drove in runs for the Sox, who have lost six in-a-row. John Danks slipped to 3-and-7 after yielding three runs in seven frames.
