White Sox win their 3rd straight game

The White Sox jumped all over the Astros bullpen and finished off a three-game sweep of Houston with a 4-1 win at U.S. Cellular Field. Adam LaRoche hit a solo shot in the sixth and Geovany Soto followed that up with a round-tripper in the seventh. Jose Abreu launched a two-run shot in the eighth with Conor Gillaspie tacking on an RBI single. Jose Quintana allowed one run in seven frames to improve to 3-and-6 before David Robertson locked down his 13th save. Vincent Velasquez pitched five scoreless innings, allowing three hits, walking four and striking out five in his major league debut. Tony Sipp took the loss in relief. Jake Marisnick plated the lone run and George Springer went 5-for-5 as Houston's skid hit seven games.

The White Sox have the day off today. They play in Tampa, Florida on Friday as the game can be heard on Newstalk 1060.
