Blackhawks lose to the Ducks

Simon Despres' goal with 54.2-seconds left in the second period held up as the Ducks clipped the Blackhawks 2-1 in Game Three of the Western Conference finals at the United Center. Patrick Maroon tallied in the first for Anaheim, which takes a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven set. Frederik Andersen kicked aside 27 shots in the victory. Patrick Kane scored the lone goal late in the first period for the 'Hawks, who were coming off a thrilling 3-2 triple-overtime win in Game Two on Tuesday. Corey Crawford stopped 25 shots in defeat. Game Four is Saturday in Chicago.
