Adam LaRoche and Avisail Garcia each drilled two-run doubles in the big inning for Chicago, which has won three straight and five-of-six. Scott Carroll was credited with his first win, while Zach Duke got the final four outs for his first save. Josh Phegley hit a solo homer and Josh Reddick laced a bases-clearing triple for Oakland, which has lost eight of its last 10. Fernando Abad was charged with the loss.
