Blackhawks sweep the Wild

The Chicago Blackhawks are into the Western Conference Finals for the third straight year. Marian Hossa's shorthanded empty net goal with 3:07 left held up as the Blackhawks beat the Wild 4-3 at Xcel Energy Center. Brent Seabrook, Andrew Shaw and Patrick Kane also lit the lamp for Chicago, which is seeking its second Stanley Cup title in three years and third in the last six. The 'Hawks will face the winner of the Anaheim-Calgary matchup next. The Ducks lead that series 2-1. Corey Crawford made 34 saves in the series-clinching win. Jason Pominville and Nino Niederreiter scored 51 seconds apart late in the third period to pull Minnesota within one, but the Wild couldn't complete the comeback. Erik Haula had the other goal for the Wild, who have been eliminated by Chicago in three straight postseasons. Devan Dubnyk denied 21 shots in defeat.
