Chicago Sports

The Blackhawks can finish off the Wild with a win tonight in Game Four of their West semifinal series. Chicago has outscored Minnesota 9-4 in the first three games including a 1-0 win in Game Three on Tuesday in St. Paul. If the Wild win tonight, Game Five would be Saturday at the United Center.

Avisail Garcia's go-ahead RBI-single capped a four-run eighth inning and lifted the White Sox past the Tigers 7-6 at U.S. Cellular Field.  Melky Cabrera clubbed a game-tying three-run homer in the eighth and totaled four RBI for the Southsiders, who will go for the three-game sweep on Thursday.  Conor Gillaspie also went deep in the victory.  Zach Putnam was credited with his first win and David Robertson notched his fifth save.  Victor Martinez hit a two-run homer and drove in four for Detroit, which has dropped four of six.  Joba Chamberlain gave up all four runs in the eighth to absorb his first loss.

The White Sox go for the 3-game sweep this afternoon. The Pre-Game Show begins at 12:35 on Newstalk 1060.

Anthony Rizzo homered and knocked in three as the Cubs clipped the Cardinals 6-5 in the third installment of a four-game series at Busch Stadium.  Kris Bryant had two hits, drove in a run and scored twice for Chicago, which snapped a four-game skid.  Jon Lester gave up four runs, just one earned, over seven innings to even his record at 2-and-2.  Hector Rondon allowed the tying run to reach third in the ninth, but held on for his sixth save.  Jhonny Peralta went deep and Yadier Molina plated two runs for the Redbirds, who saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end.  Lance Lynn was tagged for five runs in six frames as he dipped to 1-and-4 with the loss.

Final game of the series is this afternoon in St. Louis.

The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with first-round draft pick wide
receiver Kevin White on a four-year contract with a fifth-year
option and second- round draft pick defensive lineman Eddie Goldman
on a four-year contract Wednesday. White appeared in 24 games with
22 starts in two seasons (2013-14) at West Virginia, collecting 144
receptions for 1,954 yards and 15 touchdowns. As a senior, he
ranked fifth in the FBS in receptions (109) and sixth in receiving
yards (1,447) to go along with 10 touchdowns. Goldman appeared in
37 games (27 starts) during three seasons (2012-14) at Florida
State, recording 62 tackles, six sacks, 12 tackles for losses, one
