The Bulls battle the Milwaukee Bucks in Game One of their opening round playoff series tomorrow at the United Center. Game Two is Monday. The Bulls finished 50-and-32 to grab the three-seed in the East. The Bucks were sixth with a 41-and-41 record. The Bulls went 3-and-1 against the Bucks in the regular season, losing 95-91 in Milwaukee in the most recent matchup on April 1st.

The White Sox begin a three-game series with the Tigers tonight in Detroit. Jeff Samardzija aims for his first win for the Southsiders. He is 0-and-1 with a 6.23 ERA in two starts. The Tigers will counter with left-hander David Price, who has not allowed an earned run in his two starts and is 1-and-0.

The Cubs open up a three-game series with the San Diego Padres today at Wrigley Field. Jason Hammel will make his second start of the season for the Northsiders. He allowed three runs over six innings for the win in a 9-5 victory over Colorado last week. The Padres will send out right-hander James Shields, who is 1-and-0 with a 2.08 ERA in two starts.
The Chicago Cubs are promoting top prospect Kris Bryant to the show. ESPN Chicago reports Bryant will be with the ball club Friday for their game against the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field. Several publications rank the 23-year-old the number-one prospect in baseball. Bryant led the MLB in spring training with nine home runs before being sent down. He is hitting .333 with two homers and seven RBI in six games for Triple-A Iowa. By sending Bryant to the minors, the Cubs picked up a full extra year before the slugger is eligible for free agency.
