Lorenzo Cain connected for a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to lift the Royals to a 7-5 win over the White Sox at Kauffman Stadium. Cain had three hits in four at bats. Eric Hosmer erased a 3-1 deficit with a three-run bomb in the third. Reliever Wade Davis picked up the win. Greg Holland earned his first save. Tyler Flowers gave Chicago the early lead with a three-run shot of his own. Gordon Beckham was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Zach Putnam took the loss.
