Blackhawks clinch playoff spot

Corey Crawford turned away 35-of-36 shots to help the Blackhawks beat the Canucks, 3-1, to clinch a playoff berth at the United Center. Teuvo Teravainen  broke a scoreless tie early in the first period and Jonathan Toews  scored the go-ahead goal in the third, his 26th on the year. Marcus Kruger added a goal for good measure in Chicago's third straight win. The 'Hawks are currently third in the Central Division with 100 points, one behind St. Louis. Eddie Lack racked up 35 saves but gave up all three goals for Vancouver, which had won five of its previous seven. The Canucks remain second in the Pacific Division with 95 points. Derek Dorsett netted the lone goal in a losing effort.

The Blackhawks will be in Buffalo tonight.
