Cam Atkinson recorded a hat trick to lead the Blue Jackets past the Blackhawks, 5-2, at the United Center. Ryan Johansen scored his 25th goal of the year and Kevin Connauton found the back of the net as well for Columbus, which has won five in-a-row and eight of nine overall. Sergei Bobrovsky racked up 31 saves in the win. Corey Crawford gave up four goals in just under 16 minutes of action before being replaced by Scott Darling. Jonathan Toews and Brandon Saad both lit the lamp in Chicago's third loss in four games.
The Blackhawks play at Winnipeg Sunday night.
