Andrew Shaw scored twice to lead the Blackhawks to a 3-1 win over the Hurricanes at PNC Arena. Patrick Sharp lit the lamp 1:19 after Shaw's first tally in the first period. Shaw's second goal came with an empty net in the final minute. Corey Crawford made 43 saves for Chicago, which has won five of six to move within two points of Nashville for second place in the Central Division. The 'Hawks also have a game in hand on the Predators. Victor Rask scored the lone goal in the second period for the 'Canes, who have lost four in-a-row and nine of their last 11 overall. Anton Khudobin kicked aside 22 shots in defeat.
