A decision is expected to be made at the end of this week on where the I-H-S-A will hold the boys' basketball state tournaments in the future. Peoria and Champaign-Urbana have put in bids for all four classes of the state tournament finals while Hoffman Estates only wants to host Class 3-A and 4-A. Peoria has been the home site since 1996.
IHSA officials also plan to announce their future site of the Girls State Basketball Tournaments on Saturday. It's currently held at Redbird Arena on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal.
