Bears say Cutler will be their starting quarterback next season

Bears general manager Ryan Pace and head coach John Fox are standing behind quarterback Jay Cutler. The duo announced yesterday that Cutler will remain the starting quarterback next season. Cutler had 28 touchdowns and 18 interceptions last season.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus says safety Antrelle Rolle has agreed to a three-year deal with the Bears. The pact is worth just over 11-million dollars with five-million guaranteed. The 32-year-old safety spent the last five seasons with the Giants. He had 87 combined tackles, nine passes defensed and three interceptions last year.

The Bears have finalized a five-year contract with linebacker Pernell McPhee. The 26-year-old spent the last four seasons primarily as a backup for the Ravens. McPhee had a career-high seven and a half sacks in 16 games last season. He has 17 career sacks since 2001.
