Byron High School Sophomore Lexie DeVries is in the finals tonight in the Class 2A 3-Point Shooting contest.
The event is taking place as part of the State Tournament this weekend at Redbird Arena in Normal.
Lexie made 12 out of 15 shots yesterday evening which was tops of any shooter in the contest. The finals on Friday will feature 3 other shooters along with DeVries to determine the winner in Class 2A girls basketball.
The 4 winners of each class will compete next weekend in Normal to determine the overall champion in the state.
The other area 3-point shooters in Class 1A and 2A yesterday evening did not make the finals.
