Tied 1-1 in the middle of the third, the Avalanche ripped off three goals in just over three minutes to take a 4-1 win over the Blackhawks at the United Center. Gabriel Landeskog and Tyson Barrie scored power-play goals within 24 seconds of each other, while Brad Stuart closed it out with a goal a few moments later. Barrie also scored in the first for the Avs in the win. Kris Versteeg tied it in the second for Chicago with his 12th goal of the year. Corey Crawford made 26 saves for Chicago, who has lost two straight.
The Blackhawks play Sunday afternoon at home against Boston.
