Bulls beat Spurts at the United Center

Derrick Rose dropped in 22 points and Pau Gasol posted 12 points and 17 rebounds as the Bulls blasted the Spurs 104-81 at the United Center. Jimmy Butler scored 17 points while Taj Gibson added 15 to go with nine boards for the Bulls, who won for just the third time in nine games. Aaron Brooks chipped in with 15 points off the bench in the victory. Kawhi Leonard netted 16 points to pace San Antonio, which had won its previous four. Tim Duncan was held to just six points on 2-of-7 shooting in defeat. The Spurs shot just 37-percent as a team.

The Bulls will be in Dallas tonight. The game can be heard on Newstalk 1060.

Bulls center Pau Gasol has been named a starter for the Eastern Conference in next month's NBA All-Star Game.  He is joined in the starting lineup by Cleveland's LeBron James, Washington's John Wall, Toronto's Kyle Lowry, and New York's Carmelo Anthony.   The 64th edition of the All-Star Game will be played at Madison Square Garden on February 15th.
