White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu is being honored as the American League's top rookie by "Sporting News." Abreu hit .317 with 36 home runs and 107 RBI this season. Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom earned the publication's honor for the National League.
Abreu is the 11th White Sox player to win the award and the 1st since Gordon Beckham in 2009.
