Danny Duffy took the loss after allowing four runs in two-plus innings of work. Salvador Perez hit a solo shot for the Royals. Kansas City holds the top Wild Card spot. With a win and a Tigers loss in the regular season finale, the two teams will play a tie-breaker game on Monday in Detroit.

Wily Peralta struck out 13 over seven innings of one-run ball for the win. Francisco Rodriguez notched his 44th save. Anthony Rizzo knocked in the lone RBI for Chicago, which had won three in-a-row. Tsuyoshi Wada allowed two runs in the start for the loss.
