Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller is the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week for Week Two. Fuller had two interceptions and six tackles as the Bears dropped the 49ers on Sunday night. He was selected 14th overall in this past draft.
The Bears have signed three players to their practice squad. Wideout Chris Williams, tight end Blake Allen and cornerback Jordan Sullen have all been added to the practice squad. Williams was waived on Monday after making his NFL debut for Chicago on Sunday. The team has an open spot on the 53-man roster.
Bears receiver Brandon Marshall is planning on speaking today following a press conference that laid out previous allegations of domestic abuse against him. Attorney Gloria Allred held the press conference yesterday with Kristeena Spivey and Clarence Watley, the father of Rasheedah Watley. Each discussed alleged incidents of domestic violence committed by Marshall on Rasheedah Watley and Spivey during his time with the Denver Broncos, and how NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell failed to take proper action. Marshall tweeted yesterday that he plans to talk about several things, including the current state of the NFL, Roger Goodell and Domestic Violence.
The Bears are sticking by Brandon Marshall. General Manager Phil Emery issued a statement saying that Marshall has the team's "full support." Emery says the team was aware of Marshall's personal background when they traded for him in 2012. He also says they're equally aware of the tremendous efforts Marshall's made to change his life for the better. Emery says Marshall has admitted his past struggles and has pushed for mental health awareness. Attorney Gloria Allred held a press conference yesterday to discuss alleged incidents of domestic violence committed by Marshall early in his playing career.
