Corey Kluber spun a complete-game five-hitter while allowing an unearned run as the Indians downed the White Sox 3-1 at Progressive Field. Kluber moved to 14-and-9 while striking out eight. Carlos Santana hit a solo homer while Jose Ramirez and Michael Brantley each went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Cleveland has won three of four. Jose Quintana allowed a run over six innings for Chicago while Zach Putnam took the loss. Tyler Flowers had a double for the Sox, who have lost three straight.

Jordy Mercer hit a solo homer and knocked in two runs as the Pirates popped the Cubs 5-0 from Wrigley Field. Andrew McCutchen was 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI for Pittsburgh, which also won the suspended game from Friday earlier in the day. Francisco Liriano allowed three hits in six scoreless innings for the win. Felix Doubront gave up two runs in five frames for the loss. The Cubs were 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.
The Cubs also lost the suspended game from Friday 5-3 in 11 innings.
