Chicago Baseball

David Murphy delivered a pinch-hit game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the tenth to give the Indians a 2-1 walkoff win over the White Sox at Progressive Field. Carlos Santana plated a run in the victory as Cleveland sits four-and-a-half games out of the second Wild Card spot. T.J. House gave up one run through seven innings for the no-decision with Chen-Chang Lee picking up the win in relief. Maikel Cleto  took the loss out of the pen for the White Sox and Alexei Ramirez drove in the lone run with a solo shot. Chicago has dropped two straight.

Game #2 of the series is tonight with the Pre-Game Show at 5:30 on Newstalk 1060.

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs will finish their Friday game on Saturday.  The contest at Wrigley Field was suspended by rain with the score tied at three in the seventh inning.  It will resume at 2 p.m. Eastern.  Chris Valaika tied the game at three for the Cubs with an RBI single in the fifth inning.  Jose Tabata and Josh Harrison each have RBI doubles for Pittsburgh.  Vance Worley and Tsuyoshi Wada  were the starting pitchers.
