Former Pro Bowl safety Adrian Wilson was among nine cuts for the Bears yesterday. The team also parted ways with running back Michael Ford, wide receivers Greg Herd and Kofi Hughes and linemen Joe Long and Dylan Gandy. Also getting the pink slip were quarterback Jordan Palmer and defensive tackle Nate Collins. The Bears must cut six more players by tomorrow.
With three preseason games in the rear-view mirror, the Bears are almost ready for games that count. Chicago will face the Browns on the road this Thursday to close the preseason slate. Final roster cuts will be made Saturday afternoon, when teams must be at 53 players.
Thursday's Pre-Game Show begins at 6:45 on Newstalk 1060.
