Jake Peavy earned his first Giants victory and the offense exploded for a seven run seventh inning as San Francisco handled the Chicago White Sox 7-1 from AT&T Park. Peavy moved to 1-and-3 by giving up just one run on four hits in seven innings. Angel Pagan drove in a pair of runs, while Buster Posey went 2-for-4 at the dish with a run and an RBI as the Giants avoided a six-game losing streak. White Sox starter Jose Quintana fell to 6-and-9 after giving up four runs in six and two-thirds innings. Adam Dunn connected for his 19th home run to open up the scoring in the fourth inning.
