Anthony Rizzo hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 12th inning to lift the Cubs to a 3-2 win over the Rays at Wrigley Field. Javier Baez and Chris Coghlan each plated a run as well for Chicago, which avoided being swept with the victory. Travis Wood threw six innings of one-run ball and Carlos Villanueva picked up the win. Desmond Jennings went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and Curt Casali scored off an error as Tampa Bay saw its three-game winning streak come to an end. Cesar Ramos took the loss after Alex Cobb struck out six in six innings.
Cubs will be at home tonight opening up a 4-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers.
