Starlin Castro drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 16th inning as the Cubs clipped the Rockies 4-3 in the longest game ever in the 100-year history of Wrigley Field. The contest lasted six hours and 27 minutes, surpassing the previous record of six hours and 10 minutes set back in August of 1982. Emilio Bonifacio hit a two-run homer as part of a four-hit night and Anthony Rizzo plated the other run for the Cubs, who have won the first two of this four-game series. Catcher John Baker pitched the 16th to pick up the win and also scored the winning run after a leadoff walk in the bottom of the frame. Justin Morneau had a two-run double and Nolan Arenado doubled in the other run during a three-run first inning for Colorado, which has dropped three straight. Tyler Matzek suffered the loss.
Game #3 of the series is tonight.
