Josh Collmenter tossed seven innings of one-run ball as the Diamondbacks clipped the Cubs 3-2 at Chase Field to complete a three-game sweep. Collmenter improved to 8-and-5 while David Peralta went 2-for-4 with two RBI as Arizona won its fourth in five games. Addison Reed notched his 23rd save in the win. Jake Arrieta allowed three runs over six-and-two-thirds innings but fell to 5-and-2 for Chicago. Anthony Rizzo hit his 23rd homer and Arismendy Alcantara doubled in a run as the Cubs lost their fifth straight and 11 oof their last 13 games.
The Cubs have the day off today. They open up a series against San Diego Tuesday at Wrigley Field.
